Report: Manchester City interested in Bonucci
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will reportedly try to pry Leonardo Bonucci out of Juventus' exemplary backline, and has made getting his signature the club's top defensive priority in the summer window, according to ESPN FC.
City similarly pursued Bonucci last season, but failed to sign the 29-year-old, who admitted he was tempted by Guardiola but instead signed a contract extension with Juventus until 2021 in December.
However, Manchester City isn't the only team chasing Bonucci's signature, as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was previously linked with bringing the Italy international to Stamford Bridge.
In any case, Guardiola will look to reinforce his defense in the summer as Vincent Kompany has struggled with injuries throughout the 2016-17 season.
