Lyanco, one of the players from Brazil's failure to qualify for this year's Under-20 World Cup, is reportedly nearing a move to Serie A.

Sao Paulo and Torino are close to reaching agreement for Lyanco, according to Globo Esporte's Marcelo Hazan. The transfer fee is apparently settled, as the Granata will pay €6 million plus €2 million in performance-related bonuses. The offer surpassed one made by the Italian club's crosstown rival, Juventus, who allegedly proposed €3 million in performance-related bonuses, a third of which depended on goals considered difficult to achieve. Furthermore, the Brazilian centre-back would reportedly have been loaned away from the Old Lady.

At the Sudamericano Sub 20, which took place in January and February and in which four teams qualified for this year's Under-20 World Cup in South Korea, Brazil finished fifth, scoring only 10 goals in nine games. Lyanco was part of the Selecao's squad.

In the 2016 Brasileirao, Lyanco made 12 appearances and scored one goal.
