Paredes' rocket leaves Torino stunned as Roma climbs to 2nd
Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes gave his fans something special to cheer about in a brilliant performance against Torino, scoring his side's third in a 4-1 win with a rocket hit that left on-loan Joe Hart shaking his head in disdain.
Paredes' goal came off a corner kick in the 65th minute, with the ball dropping favorably from a Torino clearance, allowing him to crack a powerful shot on goal from the half-bounce well outside the box.
Earlier in the game, Edin Dzeko notched his 11th goal in eight matches, while Mohamed Salah also got a goal of his own to celebrate. Radja Nainggolan put a cap on the day with a fourth goal to neutralize a late consolation effort by Maxi Lopez.
With Roma securing all three points, the capital club moves above Napoli into second in Serie A with 56 points, still well behind leader Juventus.
