Zdenek Zeman, welcome back.

The Czech gaffer marked his Pescara return days after succeeding Massimo Oddo with the club's best victory of the season, a 5-0 drubbing of Genoa on Sunday at the Stadio Adriatico.

Technically, it was Pescara's first on-pitch win of the campaign after its only previous victory was courtesy of Sassuolo fielding an ineligible Antonino Ragusa in August.

After guiding I Delfini to promotion in 2012 with a Serie B-record 90 goals scored in 42 matches - highlighted by the exploits of current top-flight stars Marco Verratti, Ciro Immobile, and Lorenzo Insigne - Zeman has resumed his attack-minded approach with the lowly Abruzzo side.

On Sunday, Lucas Orban's fifth-minute own goal set the table for a Gianluca Caprari brace and finishes from Ahmad Benali and Alberto Cerri. Pescara overcame conceding 11 times in its last two matches to climb within a point of 19th-place Crotone.

Despite staring down the barrel of a likely return to Italy's second tier, Pescara supporters can take solace in the resurgence of Zeman's goal-scoring ways in the club's seventh foray in Serie A.
