Bottom feeder Pescara names Zeman manager
In hopes of a miracle, last-place Pescara named veteran gaffer Zdenek Zeman its new manager Thursday.
With one win this campaign - an August victory over Sassuolo where the Dolphins were gifted the three points for the ineligible usage of Antonino Ragusa - Pescara sits on nine points, 13 adrift of Empoli and safety.

The Abruzzo struggler announced the move Thursday with a statement on its official website, with Zeman returning to the club he guided to Serie A promotion in 2012. Pescara did not announce the conditions of the deal.
During his first spell with Pescara, where the club broke a Serie B record with 90 goals scored in 42 matches, Zemen played a part in the progression of a talented trio of Italian stars: Marco Verratti, Lorenzo Insigne, and Ciro Immobile.

After the club sacked Massimo Oddo on Tuesday, it will be hoping that the purveyor of the 4-3-3 Zemen can bring some of that magic with him again to the Stadio Adriatico.
