Report: Everton dismisses initial Milan offer for Deulofeu
Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu remains uncertain about his future following the news that his club has rejected an initial loan bid from AC Milan.
The Spanish winger is clearly not a favourite under manager Ronald Koeman - appearing primarily as a substitute - and he has been on the radar of numerous clubs in Europe including Middlesbrough and Ajax.
The Rossoneri seem interested in picking up the pacey winger until at least the end of the season, but they have seen their initial offer turned down, reports the Guardian's Andy Hunter.
Milan has been in talks with Everton over the past few days, but the Italian outlet is reportedly only interested in taking Deulofeu on loan if there is an option to buy attached to the contract.
Deulofeu's last start for the Toffees came in the 3-2 defeat away to Watford back on Dec 10. Since then the Spaniard has only featured once, as a substitute in the FA Cup defeat by Leicester City on Jan 7.
The feeling of uncertainty was further compounded for the 22-year-old when his manager stated that there was "no possibility" for his out-of-favour winger to leave this transfer window, due to injuries that are keeping Yannick Bolasie and Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of the side.
