Bonucci out 6-8 weeks with hamstring strain
Juventus provided an update to the injury status of Leonardo Bonucci on Monday, with the Italian defender set for a six-to-eight week spell on the sidelines as he recovers from a hamstring strain in his left thigh suffered in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Genoa.
The news is a further blow to Bianconeri fans who also endured agony in the form of a fractured fibula to right full-back Dani Alves, sustained at the end of the aforementioned match.
The club provided further updates to Alves' injury as well, confirming the initial diagnosis and adding that the length of his recovery will be revealed after radiographic evaluations to be performed in the coming days.
Bonucci has been an integral part of Juventus' team for the better part of the last six years, and has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has a bit of an injury crisis on his hands as Bonucci joins an ever-growing list of sidelined defenders; along with Alves, Juventus is also waiting for Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini to return, as well as forwards Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca.
