Internazionale's newest star striker, Gabriel Barbosa, known affectionately as "Gabigol," has heart-shaped eyes for his new team, calling Inter the "biggest club in Italy" as he was introduced to fans and press in Milan for the first time.

The Brazil attacker, who made headlines in the summer during the Copa America Centenario, signed with Inter for a hefty €29.5 million out of Santos. While he had plenty of suitors, he is pleased with his move to Serie A.

"Inter were my first choice," Gabigol said, according to ESPN FC. "It was the project and all the staff that made my mind up. I want to keep learning and do whatever's necessary to help my teammates. I want to try to win it all here.

"I'm really happy. This is an incredible day. I'm delighted to be part of this club and I want to thank my family and friends. I want to make history with this club."

While the Brazilian gushes over his new outfit, and with the No. 96 etched on the back of his shirt, other clubs weren't quite as chipper. Gabigol's move to Inter proved a deal that irked Barcelona, which alleged that Santos had failed to meet contractual obligations that would allow the Catalan outfit a chance at his signature. But it wasn't the only disappointed club.

"I had a big offer from China, but I decided to come here because Inter was always my first choice," Gabigol said. "There were offers from all over the world, but I've joined the biggest club in Italy and I'm delighted with my decision."
