Watch: Joe Hart quickly learning to speak Italian

Joe Hart is acclimating quickly to his new surroundings.

The English shot-stopper showed off his linguistic skills by giving his first press conference in Italian since joining Serie A side Torino.

His native accent comes through, but given that he's only been in Italy for a few weeks following his loan move from Manchester City, it's an impressive showing from the goalkeeper.

Hart, pushed out at the Etihad upon the arrival of new manager Pep Guardiola, reverted back to English to discuss his departure, saying he harbours no ill feelings towards Guardiola after the Spaniard moved quickly to jettison the longtime City stopper in favour of Claudio Bravo.

"It was fairly obvious to everyone," Hart said when asked about his high-profile divorce from the club he joined in 2006 as a teenager.

Of Guardiola, he added, "He was open with me."

"Football's football ... and it resulted in me looking for a new club and, as I said, I'm very happy to be where I am at the moment. I absolutely love to play football and it looked like my options were limited (at City). It was an easy decision for me.

"I'm very thankful for the opportunity and I'm proud and happy to be here. I'm looking forward to hopefully having a good season."

As for his quest to master a new language, Hart knows that will be crucial in helping him form a solid partnership with his defenders.

"I’m studying Italian, I’m learning some important words to communicate with my team," he said.

After making a glaring error on his debut when he flapped at a cross, allowing Atalanta to equalise, Hart will get a chance to test out his newfound language skills Sunday against Empoli.
