Serie A returnee Pescara has bolstered its attack one week into a seventh top-flight attempt, signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck to a season-long loan.

Bahebeck, 23, joins the Delfini on a temporary basis with the option to buy, the Abruzzo side said in a statement on its website Monday.

Having failed to secure consistent first-team minutes with the four-time defending Ligue 1 champ, Bahebeck heads to Italy for a third loan spell in four seasons. After emerging from PSG's youth academy in 2011, he has made just 34 appearances for the club, prompting a loan moves to Troyes, Valenciennes, and Saint-Etienne in successive seasons.

The Saint-Denis striker made just 16 appearances last season with Les Verts, bagging a single league goal paired with one in the club's Europa League campaign.

The arrival of Bahebeck will provide forward cover for Pescara's departing ace Gianluca Lapadula, who led Serie B in scoring last season before making a €9-million move to AC Milan in the summer.

With a decent string of top-flight campaigns in the late '80s and early '90s, Pescara is looking to secure back-to-back Serie A seasons for the first time since 1988-99. Massimo Oddo's lot made a good account of themselves Sunday in their top-tier return at the Stadio Adriatico against Napoli despite surrendering a 2-0 advantage on the heels of bouncing Frosinone from the Coppa Italia a week sooner.
