Report: Mancini negotiating Inter exit

Roberto Mancini is expected to quit his position as Inter Milan manager after a falling-out with the Nerazzurri's new Suning ownership group, according to Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian and Sky Sport Italia.

Lawyers for both parties are currently negotiating a severance package for the 51-year-old.

Various reports in Italy add that former Ajax boss Frank De Boer is the favourite to replace Mancini on the Inter bench.

Sports dailies La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport also carried the news Sunday.

The club and manager reportedly share different views on the transfer market - so much so that their relationship now appears irreconcilable.

Recent losses to Bayern Munich and Tottenham may have also added to the tension, with the Nerazzurri dropping the past two friendlies by a combined 10-2 scoreline.

Mancini - whose contract with the 18-time Serie A winner runs until 2017 - had enough of a say to land long-time target Antonio Candreva last week for a reported €25-million fee. Candreva joined Cristian Ansaldi, Gianluca Caprari, Caner Erkin, and Ever Banega as summer arrivals at the San Siro.

But that apparently won't suffice for the former Manchester City gaffer.

The situation changed when Chinese retailer Suning bought a 70 percent stake in the struggling Italian outfit in June for €270 million.

Inter opens the Serie A campaign on Aug. 21 against Chievo Verona.
