Napoli's mohawked playmaker extraordinaire Marek Hamsik has pledged his future to I Ciucciarelli after putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract Saturday.

Hamsik, 29, has been with Napoli since joining the club in 2007 from Brescia, and is now poised to eclipse a decade with the Neapolitans, according to a statement on the club's website.

With 81 goals from the midfield, Hamsik has been a mainstay with the two-time Serie A winners.

While with the club, Hamsik and co. have won two domestic cups, and the Slovakian international has garnered plenty of individual honours, including the 2008 Serie A Young Footballer of the Year and a spot on the 2010-11 Serie A Team of the Year.

The five-time Slovakian Footballer of the Year led Serie A in assists in 2012-13 and 2014-15, and has registered no fewer than nine helpers in all but one of his seasons with Napoli.

Napoli kicks off its 2016-17 Serie A campaign on Aug. 21 when Maurizio Sarri's lot travels to Abruzzo to face promoted Pescara.
