Manchester United is preparing the contracts and documents to finalise Paul Pogba's transfer from Juventus for €110 million (£93 million) plus add-ons, while the Old Lady is set to formally accept the Red Devils' offer, according to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.

Assuming the reported fee is accurate, the transfer will be the most expensive in history, eclipsing the €100.7 million (£85.2 million) that, according to Football Leaks, Real Madrid paid to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

Juventus and Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, apparently met in Turin, Italy on Thursday to finalise the transfer's details, which include the add-ons. United is allegedly offering €10 million (£8.4 million) in add-ons, but the Old Lady is asking for another €5 million (£4.2 million) should the French midfielder extend his contract. There's reportedly also the matter of Raiola's €20-million (£16.9-million) fee, which the Italian club is demanding the English side pay in full.

In terms of Pogba's salary, in a separate report, Romano indicated that Raiola and United discussed the terms of a five-year contract that would see the 23-year-old earn a base salary of about €13.1 million (£11 million) plus incentives, while retaining sponsorship and image rights.

Pogba uploaded what appears to be a cryptic Instagram post of himself in a red hat and red shoes Wednesday, suggesting he's on the verge of joining United.

United apparently wants to sign Pogba before Saturday, but he will have to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper and becoming the Red Devils' fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
