Juventus full-back Patrice Evra has renewed his contract with the five-time defending Scudetto holders, with the French international signing on for an extra year with an option for a second.

Evra, 35, joined Juve in 2014 following a decorated eight-and-a-half year spell at Manchester United, and will now be with Max Allegri's lot until at least June 2017, the club announced Monday.

"His countless experience on football’s biggest of stages has been an invaluable element in the Bianconeri’s overall development into one of the major forces in the European game," the statement read.

With five Premier League titles, three League Cups, and a Champions League trophy under his belt, the 73-time capped left-back joined Juve on a two-year deal for a modest fee of £1.5 million.

"I won everything in Manchester but now that I am starting again with Juventus, I've achieved nothing yet. I'm here to give everything to the team because I enjoy being successful and Juve will help me to continue winning trophies," Evra said in 2014.

Evra has since added to his trophy case with the Torino outfit, winning the domestic double in both 2014-15 and 2015-16.

In two seasons with the Old Lady, Evra has appeared in 47 Serie A matches, pairing three goals with five assists for a defensive unit that conceded a league-low 20 goals.
