This is not the place for legitimate reports and completed deals. Here, we compile the ludicrous transfer rumours that arise during this month of madness in the football world. Each day until the summer transfer window shuts, theScore will provide a rundown of the most outlandish babble from the backpages, briefing you on the transfer gossip throughout Europe.

Here's what the rumour mill is churning out today:

Arsenal to sign Morata if Real triggers buy-back clause

On the heels of completing its first transfer, Arsenal appears to be far from finished with reports suggesting the north London side is hoping to bring in Alvaro Morata.

A move for the Spanish forward, however, depends on whether Real Madrid activates the buy-back option in its deal with Morata's current team, Juventus, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.

Arsenal is said to be the leading candidate to buy Morata, who would join Granit Xhaka as the team's second signing since the conclusion of the Premier League season.

Palace eyes move for West Brom's Berahino

Saido Berahino's hopes of moving away from West Brom appears to be on the verge becoming reality after Crystal Palace identified the English striker as a summer target, the Daily Mail reports.

The Baggies, however, won't come close to receiving the £25 million it demanded last summer following the 22-year-old's lackluster 2015-16 campaign, where he only managed four goals, with the report suggesting Palace will offer £7 million.

Frank de Boer hopes to join Everton

Another Dutch manager appears to be close to joining England's top flight following Louis van Gaal's dismissal from Manchester United earlier this week.

Less than a month after parting ways with Ajax, De Boer is keen to fill the managerial vacancy at Everton following Roberto Martinez's sacking, according to the Liverpool Echo.

De Boer's brother, Ronald, told the paper Frank is eager to join the Premier League, and predicts he's on the team's shortlist of capable candidates.
