Arsenal goalkeeper Szczesny: 'I want to stay' with Roma
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny says he would be interested in extending his loan with Italian outfit Roma for the 2016-17 season.
"I want to stay," Szczesny told Il Messaggero, according to Sky Sports. "It's not all up to me, obviously. I want it to happen, and I know Roma and Arsenal are talking about it, so we'll see what happens."
After those reports, Szczesny took to Facebook to further clarify his comments:
Szczesny joined the Serie A club on a season-long loan and has since become an instrumental figure, helping the Giallorossi to a potential top three finish and a Champions League spot.
The 26-year-old has featured in 31 of Roma's 35 matches this season.
"I'm happy to have helped the team and winning the title must be the next objective for this club."
