Tiger Woods has RSVP-ed for the tour season's second major championship.

The 14-time major champion delivered his intention to compete in the 116th U.S. Open at Oakmont, scheduled for mid-June, at the start of April, according to Alex Miceli from Golfweek.

The deadline to file registration is Wednesday.

The three-time U.S. Open champion, still in recovery from his latest back surgery, hasn't competed in a PGA Tour event since August.

There was a report last week suggesting Woods could return as early as next week's Wells Fargo Championship.
