Another accolade for Jordan Spieth.

The 22-year-old - and the top-ranked golfer in the world - was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the 2014-15 season on Friday, capping off his dream season.

Spieth also won the Jack Nicklaus Award, while Daniel Berger was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

It was a dominant season for Spieth, who won five tournaments, including the Masters and the U.S. Open. He played his best golf at the biggest tournaments, carding a fourth-place finish at The Open, and a second-place finish at the PGA Championship.

Spieth becomes the youngest PGA Tour Player of the Year since Tiger Woods, who was 21 when he won the award in 1997. The Texan capped off the season with another win, at the Tour Championship, securing the FedEx Cup in the process.

PGA Tour commissioner Tim Fincham said in a statement:

The PGA TOUR enjoyed a sensational season from every perspective as our young stars shone brighter than ever before, but none brighter than the PGA Tour Player of the Year Jordan Spieth. He captivated us throughout a memorable year that included the FedExCup and five victories, highlighted by two major championships. And the sportsmanship he displayed in both victory and defeat was a stirring indication of the role model and ambassador he has become in a very short period of time.

"You get a nice trophy and it goes down on your Wikipedia," Spieth said about the honor.
