Chris Kirk sunk a clutch par putt on the 18th hole to clinch a one-stroke victory at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas. He finished at 12-under par to beat a crowded leaderboard for his fourth career win on the PGA Tour.

The win allowed Kirk to redeem his final round at The Players Championship where he went into Sunday as the sole leader but shot 3-over to finish the tournament five shots back.

Jordan Spieth had a strong performance in his home state Sunday posting a 65, but it wouldn't be enough to make up for the 73 he shot during Round 2. A disappointing three-putt on the par-3 16th hole would prove to be the difference as he finished one shot behind Kirk.

Spieth would finish tied for second at 11-under along with Jason Bohn and Brandt Snedeker.

Nobody in the final grouping of the day - Kevin Na, Ian Poulter, and Charley Hoffman - managed to shoot under par for their final round, allowing plenty of others to enter the mix with 17 players finishing within three shots of the lead.

The competitors played in groups of three due to weather conditions delaying the start of the final round. The PGA Tour is staying in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for another week with the AT&T Byron Nelson in Irving, Texas beginning Thursday.
