PGA Tour allowing preferred lies through green for rainy, final round at Crowne
Rob Schumacher-USA TODAY Sports
After five inches of rain fell on Colonial Country Club in the past two weeks, the PGA Tour has allowed preferred lies through the green for the final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational on Sunday.
Players are allowed to pick up their ball, clean it, and place it back within six inches of where it dropped on all fairways and in the rough to help them through the wet conditions.
The final round of the tournament is underway after a three-hour delay and play is expected to be halted if there is any more rainfall.
Kevin Na, seeking his second career PGA Tour win, was the sole leader after Saturday's play.
