Dustin Johnson's flawless play this week in Austin finished with a 1-up win over Jon Rahm and the WGC-Match Play title.

Johnson built a 5-up lead after eight holes and despite a late charge by Rahm, held on to claim his third straight PGA Tour title, while also moving into the lead of the FedExCup standings.

"I didn't give him any holes, except for 10," Johnson told Steve Sands of the Golf Channel. "But it was tough out there, the greens got really fast, the wind was affecting all of the putts."

The victory also gives the world No. 1 the career sweep of all four World Golf Championships, making Johnson the first player to accomplish the feat since the HSBC Champions was added in 2009. Tiger Woods completed the sweep in 2003, when the World Cup team event was originally part of the rotation.

"I'm playing really well. Today was a tough day, it's a long day, this whole weekend was. I'm proud of the way I played, the way I stayed in there."

Bill Haas won the consolation match, downing Hideto Tanihara 2&1, and record his best career finish in a WGC event.
