In 2012 at PGA National, Tiger Woods was nine shots behind Rory McIlroy when he teed off Sunday morning as he looked for his first win since the infamous car accident.

Woods made an eagle and three birdies to put some serious heat on McIlroy, who was headed to "The Bear Trap" with two holes to go.

Tiger birdied the par-3 17th, then came to the par-5 18th and took dead aim at the flag - leading to an eagle and a 62.

However, the Northern Irishman was unflapped and would par his last five holes to hold off Woods and Tom Gillis for the two-shot victory and the world No. 1 ranking.

Woods would eventually find the winner's circle a few weeks later at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, while McIllroy would win three more times on the year.
