PGA picks: Koepka stars in Florida homecoming

For the third time in the last four weeks, the PGA picks hammered the winner of the tournament.

Dustin Johnson's runaway victory at the Genesis Open cashed an 8/1, joining Hideki Matsuyama at 10/1 and Jon Rahm at 50/1 as winners for this year.

Through seven events, the picks have produced three winners and five top-five finishes, so there's absolutely no reason you shouldn't be making these picks and filling your wallet.

Here are this week's selections for the Honda Classic as the Tour returns to Florida after the West Coast swing.

Favorite to watch (Odds less than 25/1)

Justin Thomas

With three wins already in the young season, there's nobody hotter on the PGA Tour than Justin Thomas. The 23-year-old is no stranger to success at PGA National either, posting four rounds in the 60s en route to a third-place finish in last year's event. Getting Thomas at 16/1 odds is certainly worth a wager this week.

Odds to win: 16/1
Top-5 odds: 4/1

2nd Tier (Odds greater than 25/1)

Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka grew up just 15 miles from PGA National, so the Honda Classic represents a homecoming of sorts for the Floridian. While the incredibly-talented Koepka hasn't been in top form this season, a return to the conditions in south Florida might be just what he needs. The 26-year-old finished 26th in last year's event, and at 33/1 is a must-bet for the weekend.

Odds to win: 33/1
Top-5 odds: 8/1

Long shot (Odds greater than 50/1)

Martin Kaymer

While Martin Kaymer hasn't experienced a ton of success at the Honda Classic over the years, he's shown numerous times in the past that he can shine on difficult tracks. The 2014 US Open champion is making his debut on the PGA Tour this season after playing on the European Tour for the first two months, posting two top-25 finishes in three events.

Odds to win: 50/1
Top-5 odds: 12/1

Super long shot (Odds greater than 80/1)

Billy Horschel

Billy Horschel is another local product that returns home to Florida this week for the Honda Classic. An eighth-place showing in last year's event shows that Horschel won't be intimidated by the daunting PGA National layout. The 80/1 value on the 30-year-old is too tempting to pass up, and is certainly worth a wager.

Odds to win: 80/1
Top-5 odds: 20/1

Hit this bet, buy a car (Odds greater than 125/1)

Kyle Stanley

Kyle Stanley has played in eight tournaments this season, posting seven top-40 finishes in the process. That type of consistency makes him an attractive long shot at 125/1. He's made numerous starts at PGA National, and his course knowledge should pay off this week.

Odds to win: 125/1
Top-5 odds: 25/1
