Jordan Spieth isn't feeling it.

Out of contention at 5-over heading into Sunday's final round at The Open, the world No. 3 lamented the fact his putter has let him down.

"(I'm) hitting the ball great (but) I'm just really struggling on the greens this week," Spieth said, according to the PGA Tour's website. "That's kind of rare ... I'm just very uncomfortable right now with the putter in my hands on these greens."

We'll take his word for it - Spieth has putted 91 times through three rounds.

"I've left everything short," he said. "My three-putts this week have been because the first putt is left short, and most all of my two-putts have been because I left it just short. Finding it very challenging.

"Just can't quite get it in the hole. I guess some weeks that happens."

Spieth's honesty is certainly appreciated. He said Saturday amid his struggles that it's unfair to compare the season he's having to last year's, when he won the Masters and U.S. Open.

"Maybe I should have putted a bit more," he said about his practice rounds at Royal Troon.
