Key hole in British Open
LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England (AP) A glance at the key hole Sunday at the British Open:
HOLE: No. 18
YARDAGE: 413
PAR: 4
STROKE AVERAGE: 4.04
RANK: 14th
KEY FACT: Ernie Els came to the final hole three shots behind and seemingly playing for second place. Then Adam Scott missed a short putt on No. 16 and Els rolled in a 15-footer for birdie. By the time Scott played No. 18 he needed a par to force a playoff. He hit it in a fairway bunker and missed his 7-footer for par.
