The U.S. women, once eliminated, defended their title in the 4x100m relay with the second-fastest time in history Friday at Olympic Stadium.
The team of Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, English Gardner, and Tori Bowie tore through the track in 41.01 seconds in an upset over Jamaica, which placed second.
Felix, meanwhile, who already became the most decorated female track and field athlete in Olympic history in Rio, now also has the most gold medals in history with five.
The U.S. women were granted a re-run after a failed qualification when it was ruled Felix was obstructed by a Brazilian runner.
