"His Airness" Michael Jordan continued his descent down the U.S. men's Olympic all-time scoring list as yet another member of the roster in Rio de Janeiro moved up.

Kevin Durant, a four-time NBA scoring champion on the Golden State Warriors, jumped Jordan for fourth place during Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup against Argentina.

He now only trails David Robinson, LeBron James, and current teammate Carmelo Anthony, who became the all-time leading scorer in qualifying-round matchup against Venezuela earlier in the tournament.

Durant finished with 27 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals while shooting 7-of-9 from 3-point range in a convincing 105-78 victory.

He averaged 16.8 points and dropped 84 total in five Group A games.
