Keith was ejected and assessed a match penalty for hitting Wild center Charlie Coyle in the face during the first period of Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota.

Analysis:

Keith will be suspended until the NHL is able to review the play, as it was deemed the blueliner was attempting to injure Coyle on purpose. Chicago is already without Brent Seabrook (illness), and with a multi-game suspension possibly on the horizon, the eighth-ranked defense of the Blackhawks is left scrambling as the season winds down. Keith was also suspended in the 2013 playoffs for hitting Jeff Carter of Los Angeles in the face -- a matter that won't help the 32-year-old get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reviewing this case.
