All-Star John Scott is returning to the show.

A little more than two months after playing in what many believed to be his final NHL game - an MVP performance at the 2016 NHL All-Star event - Scott has earned a recall from the Montreal Canadiens.

Should Scott indeed dress for Montreal over its last three games, it will mark the seventh NHL sweater he's worn across eight seasons in and out of the league.

He appeared in a handful of games for the Arizona Coyotes, in the process earning the All-Star fan vote, before being dealt to Montreal in the lead-up to the event.

The opportunity to represent the Pacific was preserved despite reporting to St. John's of the American Hockey League - a decision that turned out to be a coup for the NHL.

Michael McCarron will return to St. John's to facilitate the pugilist's recall.
