Blackhawks' Keith will not appeal suspension, apologized to Coyle

After being banned six games for a stick-swinging incident against the Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith told reporters Saturday he will not appeal the suspension.

"There's a limit there and I gotta know that," Keith said, according to Mark Lazerus of the Sun-Times. "I will."

"Everybody wants to have a reputation as a clean, honest player. There's a line and a limit," Keith continued. "It's just being smarter and knowing that."

Keith also said he has spoken with Wild forward Charlie Coyle - the victim of the stick swing - and apologized for his actions.

The 32-year-old will miss the Blackhawks' final five games of the regular season, as well as the team's first postseason game.
