The Arizona Coyotes have traded forwards Dustin Jeffrey and Dan O'Donoghue and defenseman James Melindy to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Matia Marcantuoni, the clubs announced.

Jeffrey has had a strong campaign with the Coyotes' American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons, scoring 13 goals and 46 points in 45 games. He'll report to the Penguins' minor-league team. O'Donoghue and Melindy have been sent to the East Coast Hockey League.

Forward Matia Marcantuoni was a fourth-round pick by the Penguins in 2012. He has split this season with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins of the AHL and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, putting up a combined 13 points in 26 games.
