Condon will start in the blue paint Saturday night against the visiting Maple Leafs.

Analysis:

This will be the fourth consecutive start for Condon, as No. 1 puck stopper Carey Price (leg) reportedly is making progress in his rehab, but won't travel to San Jose for the start of a four-game road trip. At first glance, this appears to be a nice matchup for Condon considering the Maple Leafs (21-28-10) are second to last in the league standings, but one must consider that the Canadiens have seen their defense become depleted by injuries, plus the team shipped out forwards Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann to Chicago on Friday. Condon carries a 2.54 GAA and .904 save percentage into Saturday's contest -- there's definitely room for improvement, but then again, he's a rookie.
