Canadiens' Weise sick, not in lineup vs. Predators

Scouts will have to settle for the ambiance.

Dale Weise has come down with the flu, and won't be in the lineup Monday when the Montreal Canadiens host the Nashville Predators at Bell Centre, the team announced.

Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman is one of 12 scouts and executives in attendance. While any interest in Weise is merely speculative, the modestly priced pending unrestricted free agent is considered one of the more likely candidates to moved out of Montreal.

The Canadiens will play another two games before the Feb. 29 trade deadline.
