One day after a report that Alex Burrows would be willing to waive his no-trade clause if the Vancouver Canucks asked, the forward told reporters this was not the case.

After making similar comments following Saturday's game against Toronto, Burrows confirmed Sunday he never said he was willing to waive his no-trade clause and expressed his desire to remain with the Canucks, according to Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province.

The 34-year-old has one year remaining on his contract, and is expected to make $3 million next season.

Through 53 games, Burrows has just seven goals, nine assists, and a minus-10 rating.
