Bruins' Bergeron missing 2nd game with undisclosed injury

USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Bruins will be without top center Patrice Bergeron for the second consecutive day, as it was announced he won't dress Sunday versus the Detroit Red Wings.

He remains day to day with an undisclosed injury.

It's believed Bergeron suffered his ailment in a scrap with Winnipeg's Blake Wheeler on Thursday night.

Ryan Spooner filled in on the top line for the Bruins, who lifted Claude Julien to his 500th career coaching victory in Saturday's 4-2 triumph over the Minnesota Wild.
