Bergeron absent from Bruins' lineup vs. Wild

Sergei Belski / USA TODAY Sports

Boston Bruins pivot Patrice Bergeron will not play Saturday afternoon versus the Minnesota Wild with an undisclosed injury, according to coach Claude Julien.

He is considered day-to-day.

Analysis:

Bergeron has registered 21 goals and 26 assists this season and is a key weapon on a Bruins power play ranked second in the league with a conversion rate of 23.8 percent. Suffice it to say, his absence his will be felt. The Bruins get right back to work Sunday against the Red Wings, and Bergeron undoubtedly will be reevaluated ahead of that match.
