Oilers' McLellan breaks up struggling Draisaitl, Hall

If Taylor Hall and Leon Draisaitl are to emerge from the immense shadow cast by Connor McDavid's line, it won't be together.

On Saturday, at least.

The previously dominant duo, who were unstoppable at times in McDavid's absence, will skate on separate units when the Edmonton Oilers attempt to make it two straight wins Saturday versus the Winnipeg Jets.

Without a goal in nine contests, Hall is set to flank Mark Letestu and Zack Kassian, and welcomes the change.

"My play hasn't been where I want, and the production has been accordingly so," Hall said, according to Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Sun. "I have to get my all-around game back, and the production will take care of itself."

Meanwhile, Draisaitl has cooled significantly after bursting onto the scene akin to McDavid, but he isn't discouraged.

"It would be pretty unrealistic to think I'd keep that pace up," he said. "I don't think there's a player that can keep that up, but I'm still really confident, and I know I have it in me."

Save for Chicago's Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin, as well as Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin in Dallas, Hall and Draisaitl have been perhaps the most productive duo in the NHL, combining for 82 points since Draisaitl's recall.
