Hamhuis, Vrbata staying with Canucks
Dan Hamhuis and Radim Vrbata are remaining with the Vancouver Canucks, as the team made no trades before Monday's deadline.
Jim Benning says he spoke to every team on Radim Vrbata's trade list, but didn't get an offer on him.

Vrbata joined the Canucks on the ice for practice Monday, and as expected, Hamhuis did not.
A Dallas Stars source told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun that no trade was completed for Hamhuis.

The Stars were reportedly "focused" on attempting to land the 33-year-old - who has a full no-trade clause - and apparently made a late push. Dallas landed blue-liner Kris Russell from the Calgary Flames earlier in the day.

The Chicago Blackhawks also failed to get Hamhuis, according to Sportsnet's Mark Spector. Their interest in Hamhuis reportedly "cooled considerably" Friday afternoon, hours before landing Christian Ehrhoff from the Los Angeles Kings.
Vrbata and Hamhuis are both pending unrestricted free agents, carrying cap hits of $5 million and $4.5 million, respectively.
