Jason Garrison: Will miss 3-to-5 weeks

Garrison (lower body) was placed on injured reserve and will miss a minimum of three weeks, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Garrison's absence may make a significant impact on the Lightning blue line, but is unlikely to affect fantasy rosters, as he's registered a paltry seven points in 52 contests. Additionally, the defenseman has rarely seen action on the power play, which further lowers his value. Tampa will call up the untested Slater Koekkoek to fill the veteran's spot on the depth chart.
