Petry will miss Tuesday's matchup with Tampa Bay due to a lower-body injury, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Analysis:

Petry is on pace to have the highest scoring season of his career as long as this most recent ailment does not keep him out long term. Despite an uptick in production, the defenseman is not going to be competing for the Norris Trophy any time soon, as he has tallied just 16 points in 51 contests. The 28-year-old does offer some value on special teams -- he's averaged 1:48 of power-play ice time, resulting in one goal and four assists.
