Cam Ward will likely return to the Carolina Hurricanes' crease Friday night for the first time in three weeks.
The goaltender is expected to start against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night, his first action since landing on injured reserve with a concussion last month.
Ward last played on Jan. 15 in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
Backup netminder Eddie Lack has started every Hurricanes game in Ward's absence, allowing 15 goals in six contests.
