Ray Emery's quest to continue his hockey career has reportedly landed him in Germany.

A day after being released from his professional tryout with the Toronto Maple Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the 33-year-old agreed to a one-year deal with Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, a source told Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.

Emery, who also failed to stick with the Los Angeles Kings' AHL squad this season, will play out the rest of the season with the German club.

Though he has failed to produce solid numbers of late, he remains just three years removed from capturing the William M. Jennings Trophy alongside Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford, after the two combined to give up the fewest goals in the league.
