Wennberg was the shootout hero in a 2-1 win against Vancouver on Thursday.

Analysis:

Wennberg failed to register a point for the second straight game, but came through in the skills competition. Though he has just 19 points on the season, the second-year player has vastly improved, logging regular minutes for head coach John Tortorella after playing less than 10 minutes in a few games early this season. He's on pace to set new career highs in points, shots and faceoff wins, but has also improved his plus-minus to even from minus-19 and has yet to take any penalties this season. He's a big piece of the puzzle for Columbus moving forward, but isn't a major fantasy contributor at this point of his career. He could be a breakout player next season, though.
