The Dallas Stars won for the fourth time in five games Thursday in Colorado, topping the Avalanche 4-3 in overtime, but lost a top-six center in the process.

Jason Spezza will miss "more than a few days" after suffering an upper-body injury in the contest, head coach Lindy Ruff said, according to Mark Stepneski of the team's official website.

Spezza, who scored before exiting the game, has provided a steady stream of secondary production all season. He has 17 goals and 39 points and has not missed a game since joining the organization.
