Evgeni Malkin: Will not travel with team

Malkin has been ruled out for the Penguins' next two matchups with a lower-body injury, Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop reports.

Malkin had a sensational January, as he scored 13 points in 11 games, including a hat trick against Vancouver. Pittsburgh will miss the 29-year-old's production on the power play, where he has tallied 10 goals and 13 assists while averaging almost four minutes of ice time per game with the man advantage. Coach Mike Sullivan told reporters the injury would be reevaluated after the team's road trip to determine its extent.
