Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche each added seven more players to their rosters, including a pair of former captains, for the Feb. 27 Alumni Game at Coors Field in Denver, as part of the NHL Stadium Series.

Red Wings franchise leader in assists and longtime captain Steve Yzerman was among additions named Wednesday. The current general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning played his entire career in Detroit, winning three Stanley Cups and picking up a Conn Smythe Trophy in 1998.

Other Red Wings additions include: Ty Conklin, Mathieu Dandenault, Mike Knuble, Igor Larionov, Manny Legace, Darren McCarty.

Milan Hejduk was added to the Avalanche roster. The Czech Republic, like Yzerman, played his entire career with one team, winning a Stanley Cup in 2001. The 39-year-old won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy with a 50-goal campaign in 2003 and served as team captain for the 2011-12 season.
