Michal Neuvirth: Placed on IR
Neuvirth (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, according to the NHL's official media site.
Analysis:
Neuvirth will be out for at least the next 7-to-10 days as he recovers from the injury, which he sustained in practice Monday. The 27-year-old Czech goaltender has played impressively this season, compiling a 11-6-2 record with a .933 save percentage and 2.14 GAA through 21 games -- numbers far better than those of starting goalie Steve Mason. Anthony Stolarz will back up Mason in Neuvirth's abscence.
