Nylander nearing return following concussion

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello shared some positive news regarding the recovery of prospect William Nylander from a concussion suffered at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

"Before you know it he'll be back," Lamoriello said, adding that Nylander's nearing the end of concussion protocol, according to TSN's Jonas Siegel. He said the 19-year-old will return to play with the AHL's Marlies as soon as he's released for full contact.

Though it was reported Saturday that a potential call-up to the Maple Leafs was "off the table," Nylander could soon continue his domination in the minors as he sits just two points behind the league scoring lead despite missing 12 games.
