Here's something you don't see every day.

In an official team statement Sunday, Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning confirmed the team is exploring trade options for Chris Higgins.

Higgins has two years remaining on his deal, which has a $2.5 million annual cap hit. This is his sixth season with the Canucks.

The 32-year-old forward has struggled this season with just two goals and one assist in 25 games. He has 332 points in 703 career NHL games.
