Phil Kessel redeemed himself with one flick of the wrist Saturday night.

The Pittsburgh Penguins forward found teammate Patric Hornqvist, who stickhandled and fired a backhand shot past Montreal Canadiens goaltender Mike Condon to open the scoring on a second-period power play:

Kessel, who fanned on a shot with a wide-open net in the first period, entered the game with one goal in his last seven contests.

P.K. Subban tied it on a slap shot about three minutes later, before Penguins forward Bryan Rust scored to give Pittsburgh a 2-1 lead late in the second stanza.
